About Seagle Coding

What equipment does Seagle Coding supply?

Seagle Coding supplies industrial filling machines, labelling equipment, inkjet printers, laser marking systems, thermal transfer overprinters, conveyors and selected water treatment equipment. We help customers select, install and support individual machines or complete production line solutions.

Where does Seagle Coding supply and support equipment?

We supply and support customers throughout South Africa and selected African markets. Our regional support network includes Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Gqeberha.

Can Seagle Coding supply a complete production line?

Yes. We can combine filling, labelling, coding and conveying equipment into one coordinated solution. We assess container handling, machine speeds, changeovers, available space and production targets so that the equipment works together.

Filling and water treatment equipment

Which filling machine is right for my product?

The correct filler depends on the product viscosity, required fill volume, container opening, production speed and desired level of automation. Seagle supplies gravity, piston, pump and rotary filling systems. Share your product and container details with us so that we can recommend the most suitable option.

What products can Seagle filling machines handle?

Our filling range covers suitable free flowing liquids, viscous products and carbonated beverages. Applications can include water, beverages, sauces, creams, oils and similar products. We confirm product characteristics, temperature, foaming behaviour and container details before specifying a machine.

What is a beverage combi block?

A beverage combi block integrates bottle rinsing, filling and capping in one machine. The DXGF 16-16-5 Beverage Combi Block uses counter-pressure filling for suitable carbonated beverage applications.

Does Seagle supply industrial water treatment equipment?

Yes. Our water treatment range includes the NDX-3000LMW Industrial Alkaline Water Ionizer, which can produce up to 3,000 litres of alkaline ionised water per hour. Feed water quality, required pH and intended use must be assessed before final specification.

Labelling and conveyor systems

What types of labelling machines does Seagle supply?

We supply manual and automatic systems for round bottle labelling, wrap-around labels, front and back labels, overhead application and standalone label heads. The best system depends on the container shape, label size, application position, line speed and changeover requirements.

Can Seagle label round, flat or tapered containers?

Yes, subject to an application assessment. We can configure labelling systems for suitable round, flat, square, tapered and convex containers. Container samples, label rolls and dimensions help us confirm the correct handling and application method.

What conveyor systems does Seagle supply?

We supply slat belt, powered roller, gravity roller and air conveyor systems. Conveyor length, speed, width, guide rails and supports are configured around the product, layout and machines being connected.

Can a conveyor accommodate different container sizes?

Often, yes. Adjustable guide rails, supports and application specific roller spacing can accommodate a defined range of products. We review the dimensions, weight and stability of every container before confirming the conveyor design.

Industrial coding and marking

Which industrial coding systems does Seagle supply?

We supply Hitachi continuous inkjet printers, Hitachi CO₂ laser marking systems and SVM thermal transfer overprinters. These systems can produce date, batch, lot, barcode, Data Matrix and other traceability information on suitable products and packaging.

What is the difference between inkjet and laser coding?

Continuous inkjet printers apply ink without contacting the product and are flexible across many packaging formats. Laser systems create a permanent mark without ink or solvent consumables. The correct choice depends on the substrate, code content, line speed, environment, contrast requirement and running cost.

What can a continuous inkjet printer print?

A continuous inkjet printer can produce dates, batch numbers, lot codes and other traceability information on suitable moving products and packaging. Ink selection and sample testing are important because adhesion, drying time and contrast vary by substrate and production environment.

What materials can a CO₂ laser marking system mark?

Depending on the wavelength and application, a CO₂ laser can mark paper, cardboard, glass and selected plastics. Seagle assesses or tests the material before recommending a system so that the finished code is clear, permanent and suitable for the production speed.

What is a thermal transfer overprinter used for?

A thermal transfer overprinter prints fixed and variable information on flexible packaging material and labels. Typical content includes dates, batch numbers, prices, product information, 1D barcodes and 2D Data Matrix codes. Intermittent and continuous models are available for different packaging machines.

Quotations, installation and support

What information does Seagle need to prepare a quotation?

Please provide the product, container dimensions, fill volume, closure, label size, coding requirements, target output and available floor space. Photos, videos, drawings and representative samples help us assess the application accurately.

What must be ready for installation and commissioning?

The agreed electrical supply and services must be available before installation. Please also have trained operators and representative containers, closures, product, labels and packaging materials on site so that the equipment can be tested under realistic production conditions.

Does Seagle supply inkjet printer inks and solvents?

Yes. For inkjet printer inks, solvents and other consumable orders, email orders@seagle.co.za. Include the printer model, current ink or solvent reference and the quantity required so that the order can be checked.

Do Seagle machines include a guarantee?

New equipment normally carries a 12 month guarantee from delivery, subject to the terms in the quotation. The guarantee excludes fair wear and tear, wilful misuse and operation outside the purpose for which the equipment was supplied.

Does Seagle offer equipment rental or lease options?

Rental or lease options may be available for selected equipment. Availability, pricing and agreement terms depend on the machine, application and customer requirements. Contact our team to discuss the options for your project.

How do I request a quote or technical support?
