Emergency Wrap-Around Labeller Installation Keeps Bottling Line Moving

An emergency wrap-around labeller installation helped a beverage producer resume labelling after its existing machine broke down and could not be repaired in time. Seagle Coding supplied and integrated a standalone label applicator with a wrap-around unit, giving the customer a practical way to keep the production line moving.

The standalone system was integrated into the customer’s existing bottle-handling line.

The challenge

The customer’s existing labeller suffered a breakdown during production. Attempts to repair the machine were unsuccessful, leaving the labelling stage of the line out of operation and creating a serious risk of extended downtime.

The customer needed a replacement system that could be introduced quickly without requiring a major redesign of the existing line. The equipment also had to handle the small glass bottles reliably and apply each label cleanly around the container.

The Seagle Coding solution

Seagle Coding supplied a standalone label applicator fitted with a wrap-around unit. The self-contained design made it possible to position and integrate the machine into the customer’s existing production line with minimal disruption.

Our technicians configured the system around the customer’s bottles, labels and available line layout. This included setting the container guides, label feed, sensors, application position and wrap-around section so that the bottles could move smoothly through the labelling process.

This emergency wrap-around labeller installation was completed under considerable time pressure. The Seagle team worked late into the evening to finish the integration, testing and setup needed to return the line to operation.

The result

The emergency wrap-around labeller installation provided the customer with a practical response to an unexpected equipment failure. Bottles could once again move through the labelling stage, with the label applied consistently and wrapped around the small glass container.

The installation demonstrates the flexibility of a standalone label applicator. Because the unit is self-contained, it can be introduced into an existing line when production requirements change or when urgent replacement equipment is needed.

It also demonstrates the value of responsive technical support. Seagle Coding supplied more than a machine. Our technicians adapted the equipment to the customer’s line and stayed on site until the installation and testing were completed.

Emergency wrap-around labeller installation FAQs

Can a standalone label applicator be added to an existing production line?

Yes. A self-contained applicator can often be positioned alongside an existing conveyor, subject to container handling, label size, line speed and available space. Seagle assesses the line before configuration and installation.

Which containers are suitable for wrap-around labelling?

Wrap-around units are generally suited to round or cylindrical containers. Bottle diameter, material, label dimensions, product stability and line speed must be confirmed for a consistent result. View an example of a complete wrap-around labelling system.

What helps Seagle respond to an urgent labeller breakdown?

Clear photos or video of the line, container and label samples, dimensions, target speed, electrical requirements and available floor space help our technicians identify and integrate a practical replacement system quickly.
